Champion Tyegarth Jacob of Kelloe

Jacob changed the public's perception of Bulldogs, previously considered somewhat dim witted and plodding. His extrovert, outgoing, energetic, unpredictable, bomb proof temperement made him star of the 80's, if not something of a liablity in the showring!
Some said Jacob was perfectly balanced, others that he excelled in nothing. At the end of the day he notched up 34 CC's, 8 Utility Groups, 3 Best in Shows (West of England Ladies Kennel Soc., Welsh Kennel Club and Windsor Ch. Show) as well as 4 Reserve Best in Shows including CRUFTS. Jacob was Top Bulldog 1981 & 1982 and lived to be 11 years old - all of our present stock are line bred and can trace their pedigrees directly back to him.

Champion Tyegarth Lucifer

A beautifully balanced red and white who, although did not cary our affix was a part of the family during his stay in the UK. He was bred by Sheila cartwright who sold him as a puppy to our late friend - the famous scandinavian all-rounder Ulla Segerstrom.
Chris handled him to his 3 C.C.´s where, on each occasion, he took Best of Breed, the Utility Group and on 2 occasions went on to Reserve Best in Show all Breeds! ( Windsor Ch. Show and W.E.L.K.S.) finishing Top Bulldog 1983!
On gaining his title he was then sent to Sweden, where at his very first all breed championship show, he again took BOB, the Group and on this occasion went all the way and BIS under the late great Catherine Sutton.

Champion Brenuth Britannia of Kelloe

Sired by the famous Jacob, she was one of the youngest bulldogs ever to win a C.C - at her very first show - The Bulldog Club Inc. - the mother club ( the oldest breed club in the world) where she won MPB, BP, the BCC and then eventual BIS! All at 6 months old!
On her way to her title, she went BPIS all breeds at Bath Canine Championship Show. The following year she gained her title with BOB at the same show under breed specialist John Story; the show that year celebrating its grand Diamond Jubilee.

Champion Maid Available for Kelloe

Not an ugly duckling that turned into a swan - an ugly duckling that turned into a champion bulldog!
Doris was a late developer who was only purchased to keep her red and white brother company. Nobody took much notice of her until our friend from Germany, Petra Grell (Simplissimus Bulldogs) came to our home to see a well known bitch of ours and mistook Doris for her! WE hastily entered her in a string of shows - where she soon gained her title and continued on to win 9 CC´s!

Champion Kelloe White Glove

The widest and best underjaw of any exhibit today - dog or bitch' - Norman Davis wrote in his critique after awarding her Best in Show' at 'The British Bulldog Club Championship Show'. The Breed Record Holder with 50 CC's all won under different judges. 'Minnie' went Reserve best in Show at Windsor in 1994 and was 'Top Bulldog' 1992, 1993, 1994 & 1995.

Champion Kelloe Maid in Silver

Peggy was litter sister to White Glove and was totally different in temperament. Not the show off in the ring, more a pipe and slippers girl in front of the log fire!
Although many said that she had all the quality of her sister, she was retired at an early age after winning 4 CC´s and a Best in Show.

Champion Kelloe Kid Glove

Although shown sparingly, he won 4 CC´s and on two of these occasions won the double with his sister White Glove. but the real legacy of this dog lies in the multitude of top pedigrees he appears in today.
He was the sire of the prolific Champion Esclusham Golden Chimes of Wencar.

Champion Kelloe Angel Dust

He started the year with BP and the RCC at Crufts and finished as Top Bulldog Puppy 1995.
The following year at Crufts 1996, his son Gold Dust, also won BP and went one better winning the CC and BOB.
Angel won 4 cc´s; on one occasion beating his famous kennel mate White Glove by winning Best in Show at Birmingham & Midland Counties Bulldog Club Championship Show under breed specialist Jim Adams. He was then campaigned in Italy by Sean Carr to become an Italian and International Champion, finishing Top Bulldog in Italy 1997. He went to Spain and appears in most Spanish bulldog pedigrees today.

Champion Kelloe Truly, Madly, Deeply

Rosie, litter sister to Angel Dust, was a compact feminine beautifully balanced bitch with the strongest of heads.
This was quite a litter. With only three puppies born and two becoming UK Champions!
She won 4 CC´s.

Champion Medbull Gold Dust over Kelloe

Trevor, son of the famous Kelloe Angel Dust, won his first CC and BOB at Crufts 1996; under the well respected breed specialist Ada Pitts (Allomdom).
Mike Stockman commentating for the BBC at Crufts that year said `At 9 months old to go to Crufts and beat all your Peers is the stuff of dreams - of the 22,000 dogs shown over the 4 days, he was probably the youngest exhibit here today! I think he´s a smasher!´
He went on to win 13 CC´s and finished as Top Bulldog 1996 siring many quality puppies including Champion Hobtop Picolo, Bulldog of the Year 1999 and Champion, Sp.Ch. & Int. Ch. Medbull Earth Mover.
He lived with us on the seafront at Marine Parade, Brighton. Where he often took himself off for a stroll and was well to local celebrities such as Dora Bryan; who loves dogs and lived next door. He was also a favourite of the TV presenter Johnny Vaughan, who actually owned one of his sons - Harvey.

Champion Kelloe Fidelity Newrock

Fidelity was the Top Bulldog Puppy for 2006 and has won 3 CC´s and 5 Reserve CC´s. He gained his title at Darlington Ch. Show under breed specialist Bill Roberts (Isgraig) at the young age of 22 months. He is siring beautiful puppies and is confidently offered at stud to approved bitches. See male page.
